A 22 year old woman describes how she survived a fall into a crocodile-infested river on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, after her rope broke during a jump in bungee jumping.
The young South African from a waterfall plunged over 25 meters high, not knowing that her misfortune would play a trick. Video images show the precise moment Langworthy Erin jumps from the bridge and just a few seconds off her harness, causing panic among the witnesses.
Langworthy said she suddenly saw all was dark and she was getting beaten all over her body at the ice water down the river.
She survived the fall, but the rope was tied to her feet and had trouble swimming in the river current to reach a safe place. In addition, the rope got stuck underwater with rocks and Langworthy had to dive into the icy water to unclog. Finally, she was rescued.
For Erin Langworthy was the experience of her life. "A miracle" of survival, as she says.
