Tanjong Katong sinkhole: 1 CECA hero Site foreman & 3 CECA hero workers rescued driver with nylon rope within 2-3 minutes, where are the sinkies?

I salute these Cecas in construction, the real Foreign Talents unlike those who work in IT and Banking.

pls make a distinction. Bangalahs are not CECAs. These are Banglahs. CECA cheebais wil be the first to run and hide, and call their ah ma and ah pas on the phone
precisely.

to every sinkie, an indian is an indian. couldn't be further from the truth.

those goddamn hindi speaking ceca fucks are arrogant and would be running away. They think their lighter skin gives them automatic privilege and they're used to treating others as if they deserve that automatic privilege. Fuck them. Those darker skinned south asians have more community spirit are more likely to help those in need.

The cheebai continent is set in a caste system so historically even these cheebais hate and despise one another. A fair skin will never eat at the same table as a dark skin. You can see this disdain in action everyday when you visit little india. Just watch how a Hindi orders food at the counter when a tamil is serving him

Increased aliens population, increased building of infrastructure for them, increased village migration. How can minority Sinkies work in any aliens infested industry anymore? Of sinkies ceased to exist in any workplace or site waiting for extinction being displaced. Should check MRT during peak hours how many sinkies going to work.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be reaching out to the workers who assisted in rescuing the driver who fell into the Tanjong Katong sinkhole.

In an update to their Facebook post at around 1:17 pm, SCDF clarified that the person they conveyed to the hospital following the opening of the sinkhole was rescued by the workers at the site before their arrival.

"We will be reaching out to the workers to commend them for their bravery and prompt action in saving a life," said SCDF.

PUB, Singapore's national water agency, also issued a clarification to their Jul. 26 Facebook post, stating SCDF rescued the driver, but they have since corrected their statement.

They also acknowledged and expressed appreciation for the workers' quick action in bringing the driver to safety in their second statement on the sinkhole incident on Jul. 27.

Quick thinking by workers on-site

A site foreman, 46-year-old Pitchai Udaiyappan Subbiah, and three workers helped rescue the driver who fell into the sinkhole within minutes.

Subbiah said he heard the sudden sound of the sinkhole forming and rushed over.

He saw a car in the hole, and the driver had exited the car by then.

Acting quickly, he instructed three of his fellow workers to toss down a nylon rope.

The workers had wanted to go into the hole, but he had advised against this, as it was not safe.

Subbiah, who has worked in Singapore for 22 years, said this was the first time he had encountered such an incident.

He said that while he was scared, his main focus was on rescuing the lady.
Sir Bayee…

Seven migrant workers, who rescued a woman from the Tanjong Katong sinkhole, have been presented with appreciation coins.

Pitchai Udaiyappan Subbiah, Velmurugan, Saravanan, Veerasekar, Ajithkumar, Chandrisekaran, and Rajendran were each given an "MOM Appreciation Coin", or ACE coins, for their heroic efforts.

Presented coins at dormitory

In a Jul. 28 Facebook post, Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash shared that he presented the coins to them during a visit to their dormitory after their shifts.

Some of them had just returned from working overtime, but he managed to to speak to all seven that night.

Dinesh called the coins "a small token of appreciation that goes a long way in appreciating our efforts for our migrant brothers".

All of them, he added, had stepped forward to support the woman in "a situation that would otherwise have been very different".

"When [the incident] happened, some of our migrant brothers reacted very quickly to move forward, stop the traffic for further incidences to take place, and they rescued the lady who was in the car.

I think this is a very good example of how our migrant workers help society in general."

Workers praised

Videos previously surfaced online of the workers' rescue efforts.

When the sinkhole opened on Jul. 26 at about 5pm, site foreman Subbiah heard the noise and rushed over.

He saw the car had plunged into the hole, and the woman had managed to escape the car.

He and a number of other migrant workers tossed down a nylon rope and managed to pull the woman up.

She was subsequently conveyed to hospital.

The migrant worker, who has worked in Singapore for 22 years, said it was the first time he had experienced something like this.

"Scared, but must rescue her out," he said of his effort.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force subsequently announced that it would reach out to the workers to commend them.
