In this modern age, wearing these are just pandering to your egos.

I haven't worn a watch since 2020 except for work and as a fashion item during weddings. Other times, I'd prefer to be as naked as possible.

Wearing a mechanical timepiece harkens back to an era when men were men, when the watch is the only accessory that's acceptable on a man's wrist, not bracelets/bangles. It shows an appreciation of the exquisite workmanship involved in getting cogs, springs, wheels, plates, synthetic jewels and screws to dance in perfect harmony.

Depends on the model. The quartz models will depreciate but I chose the quartz movement for it's extreme accuracy since I don't intend to sell it.
