This is good news
It seems a school have only one infected. It does not sound right.
It seems the corona virus is weaker base on the infection numbers in singapore compare to other countries. No Wonder our government take it easy
My kids have already graduated from RI. But if they were still students there, I too would have gladly send them to school. I've full confidence in the PAP's handling of the Covid-19 situation.

haha, put it this way. Today, if u have no travel history (but infected), try going to A&E, they will just give u a chest X-ray, medicine and go home rest, if your symptoms are not very serious. In several schools, we are aware that there are some children from the same family (twins or different age) down with the same symptoms but just get a token 5 days MC and allowed to go to school coughing as long as there is no high fever.
Poor thing, study until so smart but no common sense. Hyundai shut down the whole car factory for days with just one case, same for Hynix, Samsung, etc. First few days are critical. We could have shut down schools for 8-10 days after Lunar New Year break like HK.

It depends on the school. RI's value system is fame and selfish. ACS & Cat High advocates honor and chivalry. Many honest hardworking policemen are from ACS and Cat High. The top 3 religious conmen from Singapore are from RI.
Neighbourhood schools will be mocked if the first school outbreak happened in a non-elite school.

The government will not shut down school as it will affect many issues. Imagine parents need to take unpaid leave to stay home accompany Childs. Company will be lack of staffs and there affected more business. Government is doing it to maintain our economy GDP for Singapore survival. Coronavirus need be handled smartly
