Reservist issues. Feedback/help appreciated.

I wonder if anyone can give me some advice on some reservist issues.

1) I was a LTA during my NSF. Went through OCS and then downgraded due to a pretty bad injury that I sustained during pro term. I got posted to become a Project Officer at Brigade Level. Every day wear No. 3 and do admin work.

2) I disrupted my NS for overseas studies. Didn't do NS at all for 5 years. Then went back to serve 3.5 months of my remaining NSF liability. Was promoted to CPT due to my qualifications as a lawyer, sent to do some legal work in MINDEF legal services.

3) After ORD, I was not called up for 2 years. Then all of a sudden they sent me a letter saying that I was posted to become an Infantry Officer in some reservist battalion. Shortly after they sent me SAF 100 asking me to report for ICT.

4) If I am not mistaken all OCs, PSOs in reservist battalions are mostly LTAs. I wonder WTF they will do to a captain who is randomly floating around? Cannot be giving me a PC or DY PSO appointment right? Especially when the OC / PSO is a LTA?

5) I never attended CTC/AMPOC/AMIOC etc. WTF am I supposed to do if they make me OC / PSO? Why are they putting me in infantry when I never served in a combat role at all during my NSF?

6) WTF am I supposed to do to siam? I am not equipped to hold any combat duties especially when I never attended CTC or whatever other bullshit. I was a staff officer all the way. Can they make me attend CTC with regulars/NSFs even though I am a reservist? I don't even have No. 4 uniform or a field pack! I'm not sure what kind of idiots can post me to a combat unit when I have never served any combat tours in my freaking life (not even PC)?

7) I don't mind being PC or DYS1/S2/S3/S4 but based on what people have told me the likelihood is slim, so WTF am I supposed to do?

8) Who can I appeal to with regards to this crappy situation? Honestly I am busy with my work and don't want to be bothered with this kinda reservist nonsense?

9) Am I right that once I am given some appointment like OC or PSO, I become a KAH and can't siam reservist forever until age 50 even if I am making $100k a month (extreme scenario)???

Dont be so negative.

Rank and Appointment are separate issues.
A CPT is a big F in battalion with lots of privileges.

Talk it out with your CO. He is probably a reservist just like yourself.

I was trained in Artillery during my active days but they posted me to infantry unit for 10 yrs reservist cycle.

I made many great friends and always looked forward to ict.
Those whose job is very siong in the pt sector actually like ict cos can relax and catch up with friends.

one more thing.

you cant get out of your unit by appealing.

only the brigade manpower officer can get you re-posted, with reccomendation from your CO. Like i said, you must know them first, and be reasonable.

From my observation and what i know is that u spent quite long hours here in sammyboy so it will be of no surprise that you are here to gather feedback to your masters.

Don't worry about being too busy with work. Likely you will be replaced by an FT during your ICT as your company needs someone who can be there during important times such as deal closing. So being busy with work will become a moot point.

It is important to act like a big fuck and tekan your men just like your time during NS. Even though some o them might have outshone you financially as the years have gone by. After all, there needs to be a hierarchy in the army.

Just make sure you get a good CSM and 2 1/C, treat them well and praise them in front of the men

After that, everything arrow them and enjoy your holiday camp

CPT (NS) BRANDON, since you are so proud of your rank, you should not siam anything and lap up everything the army dishes out to you.

The only thing I can think of, is you must have pissed off someone somewhere. You sound like u are getting tekan by a higher up. There is no reason nor logic for them to do this to you. The only examples I know are people who were assholes or step on the wrong toes, and than kenna tekan like this. Anyway, one of the posts I held was DYS3, did not like it. A lot of politics and everyone at HQ is a always on edge, especially if you have a siao on CO. Its like an environment of fear there.
