They got a really bad name during the structured deposit debacle.
Now that it has blown over a little, they seem to be back in force, after lying low for a while.
In the first place, I think that their job title is misleading. It should be "Sales Manager" and not "Relationship Manager". Ok, they can keep the manager, but they should lose the relationship part.
Maybe not all are like that, but some of them seem to be just wanting you to invest so that they can get the commission risk free. That's one of the reasons for the structured deposit fiasco.
Perhaps there are some good ones out there who actually want to help you make money and protect your savings and investments. Have you met one yet?
