Refuting writer with Metcalfe’s law argument
June 6th, 2014
This writer must be the same stupid PAP IB that said that Roy won’t get more than SGD 15k after 2 days, he said those that wanted to donate had already donated. I think he bet his balls on that. I guess he is a eunuch now.
This is the guy that will say 60% is still majority. Of course he wont said it was the lowest turn out in the most contested GE in our history, almost 95% seats that went to the ballot. In fact, it was by even PAP themselves a watershed election. And the reasons are clear. It is an electorate that had been alienated by PAP, only monopoly and control of the media saved them. But that is increasingly overwhelmed not just social media, but by the quality of discussions in the online platforms.
So, two things, one is that traditional media have been losing its efficacy both in terms of technology and the lost of respect for a MSM in the 150 ranking. And two, which is the most important is that the people have lost their trust in both the government for both its accountability and its lackadaisical performance in managing the country.
Simple reasoning for a brain washed mind. This writer still thinks LKY is a living deity. Wake up la, deities don’t wither and die. LKY had said he wanted a quick death, so much for jumping up after being 6 feet in the ground.
Metcalfe’s law states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2). So, 1000 people but the valuation is 1,000,000.
There are some qualifications, but your bird brain won’t get it anyway.

Metcalfe’s law states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2). First formulated in this form by George Gilder in 1993, and attributed to Robert Metcalfe in regard to Ethernet, Metcalfe’s law was originally presented, circa 1980, not in terms of users, but rather of “compatible communicating devices” (for example, fax machines, telephones, etc.).
Only more recently with the launch of the Internet did this law carry over to users and networks as its original intent was to describe Ethernet purchases and connections. The law is also very much related to economics and business management, especially with competitive companies looking to merge with one another.
