【随笔南洋导读会圆满成功！】
昨天下午一时半，我冒着迎面而来的狂风暴雨，驱车从兀兰一路南下，目光一边留意其他车子掠过时，飞溅越过车顶的喷洒式的急速水花，心里一边担忧这样的鬼天气，会严重影响出席随笔南洋导读会的出席人数。
半个小时后，当车子接近市区时，老天从云端露出雨后晴朗的笑脸，似乎是告诉我们，面对风雨不要畏惧也无需过虑。面对 AI 不可知的未来也一样，只管抱着学习的精神勇往直前。
出席聚焦 AI 导读会的朋友很踊跃，为了不让晚些来的朋友“罚站”，工作人员临时赶快搬出很多椅子，。
为导读会掀开序幕的是随笔南洋读书会掌门人李叶明先生，他以一贯温和沉稳姿态，欢迎与感谢大家的到来，也回顾了读书会今年来的活动以及明年的展望。
接着上场的是扎根本地的 TrantorLabs AI 实验室创始人、AI 架构专家坤元先生，导读美国科幻小说家艾萨克 · 阿西莫夫一篇预言式的短篇小说《最后的问题》（The Last Question）。坤元延续上回导读《三体》的精彩本色，娓娓道来，引人入胜。
在后来的问答环节，资深文史研究员张从兴，提了一个很有意义的问题，如果小说《最后的问题》的作者不是以色列人也不是教徒，而是印度或是中国的佛教徒，小说的结局会与圣经的内容吻合吗？大家得到的共识是一定不会。
我讲演的主题是：AI 气势如虹，我们何去何从？除了分享人工智能教育协会和方律总裁领导的领飞科技，这一年来为小学生研发的华语小机器人，还有即将推出点多个 AI 项目外，我也阐述自己对 AI 神速发展的观点与判断，解答大家担忧的问题，并演示了多个 AI 制作的视频，让大家了解 AI 如何解决过去束手无策的问题。我的结论是：如果你不喜欢 AI ，不需要拥抱它，但一定要设法与 AI 和睦共处，要不然会活得比较痛苦。
第三位演讲人是葛新先生，他分享了利用 AI 科技生成歌曲，完成作曲、演唱及视频制作全过程。他不断鼓励大家好好利用 AI 科技进行创作。讲演后还颁奖给表现出色的 AI 创作参与者，委实难得。
特别感谢高龄88，老当益壮的陈川成先生，退休前是《早报》的资深摄影记者。他一听说我们有文化教育活动，立即请缨义务来现场拍照，为我们留下很多精彩瞬间，着实让我们感动不已。

The rail corridor is a good place too. Gyms are not for me, I prefer the outdoors, niceopen spaces when I exercise. Was told I should do some weight training to fight the loss of muscle mass when we age. Have not gotten around to that yet. My main aim is to stay trim and fit. Smoking helps me stay trim, so that's a daily "exercise" routine as well.

BT nature reserve still has lots of squirrels, civets, pangolins, mouse deer, flying squirrels, monitor lizards, snakes and of course, monkeys. My neighbour saw a deer once, but I have never seen one except at Mandai.

I love walking along the corridor early in the morning or after a rain, as it is relatively cool before the humidity saps your energy as the sun starts to rise.
