Vietnamese applicant’s chances of Singapore PR/citizenship?​

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are looking to work in Singapore. I am a software engineer and have worked remotely for a Singaporean company for the past 5 years. We may have the chance to move to Singapore for work.

However, I am wondering about the chances of eventually acquiring Singaporean citizenship. I know the chances are small, and from my research, one of the most important factors is nationality. I am from Vietnam.

I have not been able to find much information about whether Vietnamese applicants have a realistic chance, or whether they are favored or not favored by the Singapore government. Most posts I found discuss Chinese, Indian, or European applicants, but not Vietnamese applicants.

I just wanted to check if anyone has any information or experience regarding Vietnamese applicants. If the chances are very low, I might as well continue working remotely instead.
