It is an issue worth pondering over....more so in societies seeking for racial and religious harmony as well as fair productivity standards which had uplifted lives.
1. The reason that the good and DIVINE SENT mortal prophet Muhammad decreed that Arabs must pray 5 times a day, was simply because the new converts were once steep in barbarism, had MUCH to learn about Islam. Only by connecting to a HIGHER POWER than themselves would it HELP to change their ways, thru sincere and honest prayers, reciting passages of peace and hope.... and was not MANDATORY....
Furthermore, in the 7th century Arabia, there was little commerce/industry and much trade was true caravan raiding, or husbandry farming culture of goats and sheep in the that arid land, and thus most of Arabs had MUCH time available for PERSONAL SELF REFLECTION, and thus rather than leaving their simple minds pondering upon dreams and fantasy, becoming a fertile landscape for evil personal desires and misgivings to formulate, it would be best for the Arabs to ponder instead upon the teachings of Islam, before it became misused and taken out of context by the more cunning leaders after the passing of the DIVINE TEACHER prophet Muhammad, not even before his deathbed got cold, forming schisms within Islam....
2. Prior to the rise of the TWISTED ISLAMIC republic of SHIA SECT Iran, most Sunni sects had progress and seen progress and evolution, on REALITIES of life. While faith remains strong, but unnecessary traditions were discarded so that lives may be uplifted to progress and evolve for the many.
Sadly, such ended in 1979, when the devil Khomeni ruled Iran, to be the leader of the mere 300 million Shia sect, against the progressive Sunnis numbering 1 billion worldwide, BY DRIVING AND REGRESSING ISLAM BACK TO THE GROUND, OF NOMADS, BARBARISM AND BRUTALITY, to start over again, to PROVE RELIGIOUS FERVOR when Islam had long already progressed beyond mere desert sands and caravan robberies, slavery, etc...
3. In modern times, religion is respected, but it comes from the heart and NOT by hypocritical forms. Just someone whom claims he prays 5 times a day DOES NOT PROVES he is a good Muslim. Worse when he/she claims that they are not only praying for themselves, but for the institutions or companies that they work in...
As religion is PERSONEL, such excuses holds no truth....it would be better for them to pray for themselves and loved ones instead. Commerce and trade are not ruled by devils, nor are they charity organizations, or are leaders without moral compass of their own.
Our CREATOR, known by many names across time, space and cultures, created us, loves us all and LIVES inside EACH of us. HE is OMNIPRESENT. He is ALWAYS by our side, ANYTIME, ANYDAY and NEVER at times MANDATED by mere mortals....to call upon and seek for help and guidance, thru HIS TRUE TEACHINGS.....
Every minute of work determines the fate of the company whose boss plonked in his hard earned life savings to create jobs and opportunities for others. Thus a need to SEPARATE personal religion or beliefs FROM THE PUBLIC AND WORKING SPACE.
As companies are not charity organizations, they would have to determine for themselves what they can help to assist in racial harmony and at the same time, not lose precious hours of work, or the demotivation of other staff workers whom would have to take on the workload when the religious hypocrites seeks SPECIAL PREFERRENTIAL THREATMENT from others of different beliefs when such Islamic prayers are NEVER MANDATORY.
Worse when mealy mouthed excuses are uttered by the religious hypocrites to escape workloads, and found SLEEPING during their usually 10mins of supposed washing themselves and prayers, missing for even an hour long, or smoking or indulging in vices during such times.....and when confronted with TRUTHS and EVIDENCES, turns confrontational and LOUDLY CLAIMS RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION TO WIN SUPPORT FROM THE NAIVE AND VILLAGE MORONS.......sigh....
