Advice for transfer from private to public hosp

My wife (24F) has been in the ICU at Mount E for over three months now, and the bills are piling up to mid 6 digits. Our family is seriously consider moving her to a public hospital to manage the costs. I’m honestly terrified about whether the level of care will drop or if she’ll be okay with the transition. Has anyone here gone through a similar transfer, or can you recommend which public hospital might be the best for long-term ICU care? Any advice or experiences would be a huge plus for our decision making.

Edit: Wife don’t have private isp rider, and depleted our Medisave. Quit my job to stay by her bed side daily, so don’t have income. Close to depleting our savings, with less than $47k now, which probably can only sustain < 3 weeks.
