Most of the newer HDB flats built in the last 5 years or so are installed with the IFE brand lifts.

Previously it was the Sigma brand or some random Tiong brand.

I believe the lifts in certain MRT stations and overhead bridges are also of the same brand.

A huge contract must have been signed by the HDB. :sneaky:
Sigma is a Korean brand, and a subsidiary of OTIS.

I miss the old vintage lifts in HDB flats. The doors do not have windows, the lifts stop only on specific floors (those with long corridors). You can give a nice surprise to your friends, family, victims etc by ambushing them when the lift door opens.

The overpowering urine smell too, it repels mosquitoes.

I have a phobia of lifts when I was little and I will always walk up and down 10 storeys to and back from school. I find some lifts have a life of its own....
