The victim, Mr Chandra Krishnan, told the district court that he had ordered two glasses of red wine, a jug of beer for his friend, and drinks for three women at his table at the Ramesses pub in Changi Village on June 28, 2008. The unemployed 53-year-old then ordered the Brown Cow, but was told by the waitress that the pub did not have any milk. He was asked to order whisky or brandy instead.

(a) The case of the "milk" punch up was more than 2 years ago. Having been to pubs like this before, I think its probably the customer who was the asshole. However, its no excuse for the owner to pour the milk over him and start the fight. Hence, the light fine.

(b) The murder case was just a few weeks ago. Again, probably the customer started it. But, obviously, the owner has a problem with anger management.

(c) I have personally met and talked to the owner at his pub over the past few years. On a normal day, he's the most nicest guy you ever met and he's OK with most of us. But, once his wires get crossed, watch out...

(d) Its sad. I feel sorry for his mum and girlfriend.

What he wrote is that once his wires get crossed which means once somone pisses him off he gets really nasty. If you remember some of us were speculating if the keling pissed him off and roy confirms that he got pissed off. Obviously if you piss off someone you get beaten up. He didn't get away scott free. He paid a fine.

The moral of the story is like this:



If the pub owner is an indian and the customer a chinese it's perfectly fine to question if the chinese customer pissed him off and in fact if you challenge the person that questioned about the chinese customer pissing off the indian owner you're a racist.


Now in this case the owner is a chinese and the victim an indian. Same situation but different reaction. You're now a racist if you question if the indian customer pissed him off.

Also if the pub owner is a chinese he's not supposed to be pissed off even if the non chinese customer does something to anger or provoke him. If the pub owner isn't a chinese it's perfectly fine for him to be pissed off and beat up the customer especially if he is a chinese if the chinese customer does something to provoke him.

That's how the ppl that accuse others of being racist look at things.
