PROPERTY LIM BROTHERS SAGA​



I know the focus has been on Lim and Grayce. I don’t want to talk about them. Let’s not argue about whether they deserve it or not, as everyone would have their own views. I personally think they’re gonna get what’s conning to them.

Lim - Just cos you got into the property market early, made some good decisions, all of a sudden you’re some property-guru now? Well, now your wife and kids are gonna suffer while their friends laugh behind their backs. Good thing you’re rich.

Grayce – under 30, married, relatively good looking. Instead of being loyal and working hard and having family, now you gotta live with seeing the pained look on your husband’s face everyday until he divorces you. Worth it?

however, i want to talk about the bunch of guys who took the video.

This saga started after a bunch of guys, sitting in a room opposite the commercial unit where Lim and Grayce were doing it, started taking a video which recorded the sounds of them doing it (she was moaning quite loudly). One of the guys even started doing an army crawl towards that commercial unit and tried to peep underneath the door to see if he can get a free in-person porno viewing.

I heard that these guys were working closely with Lim and Grayce (not sure if it’s true), but that would make it even worse. These guys then proceeded to spread the videos online and within a day, everyone including my colleagues knew about it.

I want to discuss about the state of mind these guys have and just to pen down my thoughts. Just imagine, they knew that by posting these videos online it would severely damage the reputation of these two people who are basically influencers in their own right. Anyone who read and watch Singapore-related property matters would know who they are. These guys may hide under the facade of having fun and they just want to share amongst their friends, but deep down, they must know that they’re doing it with (to an extent) malicious act.

To put it in perspective, I’m sure if any decent people were in their shoes with their pals, they’d probably go “wtf” and laugh it off. Maybe share it if a friend of theirs over lunch and laugh about it together. But that’s all. Why go to the extent of videoing and posting it online? Also, I think it would mostly be guys would be capable of such savagery. I doubt women would do what these guys did, barring exceptional circumstances.

  1. Whatever happened to guys being laser focused on what’s important?
Are these guys so free that they can afford to spend their time spreading gossip? Do they not have bills and mortgages to pay? Goals to chase and careers to build? Why involve themselves with petty gossip especially when they have nothing to gain? I can understand office politics and backstabbing where “I may stand to gain from your downfall”. These guys not only brought down the careers of two people, but they didn’t gain anything from it. If anything, they stood to lose their reputation as well as they would be known as the guys who took the video and spread the gossip.

Something is wrong with this generation of guys. Instead of being ultra busy with furthering our lives and careers, we are busy trying to bring down others “just for fun”.

2. Jealousy and Gossip

Let me offer an opinion. These guys are inherently jealous. Jealous of Lim with his seemingly perfect family and millions. Jealous of not being able to do a young and good looking girl themselves. Jealous of both their influencer status. And they took it upon themselves to bring these people down. On the onset, it may just look like “fun”, but i’m sure these people know what they’re doing.

Guys involving themselves in petty gossip is absolutely disgusting. Gossip is a woman thing. Guys who devalue themselves to that level aren’t gonna make it in life. Be it their careers or their own love lives.

3. Trustworthiness of Men and the state of the Brotherhood today

Over the years, I’ve noticed that I am able to trust more female friends with my (LESS important) secrets than with men. The thing I’ve noticed in common about the male friends whom I can trust have the following traits and/or experiences:

(a) they’ve been through hardship, be it at home or perhaps they went through the tough army life, i.e, commando, NDU;

(b) religious men (not the many fake ones you see on linkedin and social media)

(c) guys who have already made it. They have millions and have nothing else to prove to anyone;

(d) guys who are good with women (not the fake charisma you see with your Uni jocks. They may get the girls for now but their ego is pumped full of insecurity).

Other than the guys mentioned above (whom are very few in number) whom I would feel comfortable sharing most of my secrets, i doubt many guys can be trusted with anything at all. I’d trust proper guys with everything, not women. But I feel that there are more women than guys I’d even consider sharing things to.

If you’re friends that have similar traits as the guys who took the video and shared it, best steer clear of them. You’ll be next one day. These are the kind of guys who’d laugh behind your back if your wife cheats on you. In any case, they’re not focused on their careers enough to be of any value to you. So other than having the occasional lunch with these people, what’s the point?

I do agree somewhat but if I have a wife and she is cheating , I don't think my anger will be towards the guy who spread the videos around.

Yes yes , they could and should mind their own biz but the root cause was that my wife , who swore she would love me forever and ever , was blowing another guy.

So why should my anger and focus be on those who filmed the deed and not the one blowing ?

Unless she was forced or such , but here she clearly was in control of herself. No ?
