[Presidency Elections] - Tony Tan versus George Yeo versus SR Nathan versus Tan KL

In today's Straits Times :
Tony Tan "has not ruled out" running for president. SR Nathan "has not ruled out" re-running for president. George Yeo is "praying for guidance" about running for president. Tan Kin Lian has "confirmed" he's running for president.

If all 4 run against each other, who will the PAP and the Prime Minister support? Who would you vote for?

All MIWs leh, no different who wins in the end. If oppo can get a candidate in, it might be a different story.

A tough call..... Might be tempted to spoil my vote... But at this present moment of time, my vote is leaning towards Mr Tan K.L for his links to the Opposition..

Yeah all former PAP man. It's choosing 1 PAP man over another. Nathan can give up, he won't win. As for the rest, don't lose heart. I would prefer to have a non PAP man in charge but let me just remind U guys our most beloved former president, Ong Teng Chong was also a former PAP man and on top of that he was the one endosed by the PAP to run for presidency

think vast majority of the 40% Opposition votes last GE will go to Tan KL. PAP can't afford multiple similar candidates to contest the presidential elections and split their 60% votes if they want to win.

You left out Dr Tan Cheng Bock. Between Tony Tan and CB, TT may have the advantage as he is better known being a Cabinet Minister. These two are the real McCoys. The others are duds.

I'm assuming the electorate will vote the same way for the coming Presidential elections in August like last GE in May, just a short period of 3 months. 60% will vote for a PAP endorsed candidate. 40% will vote for a non PAP related candidate.

i think more accurate if say 40% will vote anybody instead of pap-endorsed candidate, if there are really any genuine candidates not quietly endorsed by pap
