hahahaha...it shows that she has totally lost touch with the ground.
You mean Ah Sam is a FEMALE?

not true. The nuclear deterrent is the main reason. Plus china's integration with the world's economy.
As for fighting outside chinese soil, china never had any expansionist ambitions. But when they fought just outside their borders—sino-indian war, korean war, vietnam war, sino-vietnamese war—they proved that they are more than a match for any power in the world, the sole superpower included, when it comes to conventional warfare.
What's the point of hiring foreigners if you have to pay them the same wage?
The whole idea of hiring foreign nationals is to reduce labour costs.
Cheap foreign labour doesn't just benefit large companies and cooperations. EVERY SINGLE SINKIE that hires a full time live in maid and pays her peanuts is on the same bandwagon.
I agree. Just look at the size of china's claim to south china seas. http://blogs.voanews.com/state-department-news/2012/07/18/chinas-big-win/
Next thing they will ask for is for tributes from all the countries that ChengHe landed on 6 centuries ago.
As for live-in maids, they're an anomaly seen only in Third World feudal nations. Get rid of foreign domestic workers, introduce minimum wage, and encourage families to rely on local part-time help. (A full-time live-in maid in Switzerland costs $2,300 a month, so only the very wealthy can afford them.)
I do not know where you pick up your upbringing. It is sad that there are people like you who has nothing but vulgarities.
Look in the mirror would do you plenty of good.
It is true that no country will dare do an invasion of china because there are simply too many of them, but the Chinese military can't fight for their lives once they leave china soil.
Unlikely. That does not change the fact that Singaporeans are more than prepared to pay the grossly underpaid foreign domestic helper much more had it not for the levy imposed.
I support the posting below and would say the Singapore's unique long hours working culture makes it hard for family to do away with full time domestic help support especially when families have young kids in childcare centers and lower primary. People simply do not knock off on time. Some bosses have this peculiar habit of calling a meeting at 5pm.
Childcare centers have to start accepting children at a much younger age than 18 months / 24 months. Who is going to look after the kids between 2 months to 18 months?
In countries such as Australia, the minimum entitlement for parental leave is 12 months unpaid. 18 weeks of paid maternity leave - taxable. Infant care centers start taking kids in as early as 6 weeks old.
Perhaps a Singaporean part time baby sitter could bridge the gap. He/she would pick up the baby from the childcare center and take care of the baby till one of the parent returns home.
Though I could write more on this topic, I better stop here as this is not relevant to the subject of the thread.
Thats correct. the fares for public transport is too low. Thats the root of the problem.
The blame is squarely on pap for insisting on making fat profits off public transport services and ridiculously high pay for executives running these public services.
You leftist. Without maids who's going to help us take care of our young or aged folk when we are at work? You want the wife to stay at home and forgo a full wage to do that? You want the wife or the kids to have to wipe wheelchair-bound grandpa's arsehole? Bollocks. Without maids many families would be FORCED to send their aged to nursing home instead of allowing them to live with them and take care of them AS FILIAL CHILDREN WOULD.
China for all its vaunted rhetoric is not yet a major naval power. The USA patrols all international sea lanes with their superior naval force and can project power anywhere on the earth at the drop of a hat. The Chinese are only capable of rhetoric. They are merely driving up nationalistic sentiments because their own economy is not doing too well and the 40yr boom is in the final stages.
China will not invade another, but it is also true no one can invade china. The Japs marched into China but could not conquer it despite having a vastly superior army. Before the Japs, no western power could gain a decisive foothold on China as well. So it was all down to trade, compromise, and tonnes of opium. Many have had their share of the chinese watermelon but no one in history reached the core.
No value in physically occupying China's soil, that's so last millenia. The world only needs China to continue providing cheap labour, and not to export her problems beyond the country's territory.China will not invade another, but it is also true no one can invade china. I think you seriously need medical help.Unable to conquor a country so engages in sour grape rhetoric. I like your style. The US should say that about the vietnam war and the current occupation of afghanistan.
I think you seriously need medical help.
gong simi jiaoweh!!! parents should take care of the infant!!! especially the mother!!! why must let maid or some childcare to take care of the kids. that is the most wonderful time of the kids growing up and is the best time to do bonding! u know why now so many juvenile delinquent? because all sent to childcare and the kids not close to parents. how to discipline kids when u r not close to them! kids will only listen to those they are close to and those who take care of them. i am not pro pap, but i believe parents must take care of the kids especially new born to primary school. if u r selfish, might as well be single and fuck around better. why bring those kids to the world and make them suffer?
