SINGAPORE: President S R Nathan said it was not a tough choice for him on whom to vote for. He said he knows Singaporeans are sensible people and will do what is best for Singapore.
President Nathan was speaking to reporters after casting his vote at Haig Girls' School. He was accompanied by his wife.
Voters streamed in early at Haig Girl's school, one of the 781 polling centres, with a few voters arriving just before the centre opened at 8am.
Some 2.27 million voters will go to the polls on Saturday to choose Singapore's seventh President.
Polling stations will open from 8am to 8pm.
The 781 polling stations are located at schools, Community Centres and void decks.
After polling ends, the votes will be counted at 162 counting centres.
Voters are advised to take public transport or where possible, walk to their Polling Stations.
