I share a piece of gossip that I heard a few months ago during work.
Back then, associates in hospitals told me that, there were a few seniors staying or working in Tekka area who died because of "chest infections". Concurrently, there were also Childcare/Primary/Secondary school kids who were diagnosed with various forms of "chest infections" (through X-ray) but doctors will not COVID test them.
That was the period that we didn't test the deceased for COVID, we didn't want to tell school kids for COVID. During that period, we suppressed our COVID deaths and cases but unwilling to test before CB announced. No test = no case. Anyway, if children were really COVIDed, there wasn't any specific medicine to take, and they would just be isolated and rest at home. If you were sharp, you would have asked why almost no childcare cases but childcare teachers were diagnosed during mass-testing before CB was over.
The above-mentioned were all infected by chest-infections before CB. That was also the period that Politicians mocked us for wearing masks and MOE teachers were telling kids not to wear masks in school unless they are sick. hahaa Sick then don't go to school mah, right?
It's because of the election, obviously. Keep up the appearance of competency and not incur the wrath of parents.![]()

charbo hawker or charbo wet market stall seller?
She works with a co-worker at her stall at Tekka Market, and stays at Yishun Street 22 with her husband, who has been working at Mustafa Centre for the past few years. She regularly visits her children who stay at Bishan Street 13 and Tampines Street 86.
If she kena means other hawkers and customers might also kena.
By the way, was it really necessary to publish the places where they live?![]()
Her serological test result is also positive, which indicates likely past infection.
I suppose big discounts at tekka? Or PAP planned to acquire the area cheaply for more chinatowns?

Teehee... so our total cases would have gone more than 100K if these cases were actively tested?![]()
Our healthcare policy was to present low-death rates for COVID.
You recall those days with 5 day MCs? Teehee...
