Serious Potential outbreak suspected at Tekka Market!!!!!

I share a piece of gossip that I heard a few months ago during work.

Back then, associates in hospitals told me that, there were a few seniors staying or working in Tekka area who died because of "chest infections". Concurrently, there were also Childcare/Primary/Secondary school kids who were diagnosed with various forms of "chest infections" (through X-ray) but doctors will not COVID test them.

That was the period that we didn't test the deceased for COVID, we didn't want to tell school kids for COVID. During that period, we suppressed our COVID deaths and cases but unwilling to test before CB announced. No test = no case. Anyway, if children were really COVIDed, there wasn't any specific medicine to take, and they would just be isolated and rest at home. If you were sharp, you would have asked why almost no childcare cases but childcare teachers were diagnosed during mass-testing before CB was over.

The above-mentioned were all infected by chest-infections before CB. That was also the period that Politicians mocked us for wearing masks and MOE teachers were telling kids not to wear masks in school unless they are sick. hahaa Sick then don't go to school mah, right?

It's because of the election, obviously. Keep up the appearance of competency and not incur the wrath of parents.

Teehee... so our total cases would have gone more than 100K if these cases were actively tested? :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Common sense tell us how can other countries easily many infected clusters after clusters.
But Singapore only at workers dome have massive infected.
Either the virus choose what race to attack or the MOH prevented finding it

charbo hawker or charbo wet market stall seller?

From MOH report 28 Nov 2020:

a) Cases in the community: 1

There is 1 case in the community today who is currently unlinked. Case 58412 is a Singaporean who is a stallholder selling mutton at Tekka Market. She is asymptomatic, and was detected from our community surveillance testing of stallholders in and around Tekka Centre on 26 November.

She was conveyed to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases the next day when her test result came back positive. Her serological test result is also positive, which indicates likely past infection.

She works with a co-worker at her stall at Tekka Market, and stays at Yishun Street 22 with her husband, who has been working at Mustafa Centre for the past few years. She regularly visits her children who stay at Bishan Street 13 and Tampines Street 86.

Epidemiological investigations are in progress. In the meantime, all her identified close contacts, including her family members and co-worker, have been isolated and placed on quarantine and will be tested at the start and end of their quarantine period so that we can detect asymptomatic cases. We will also conduct serological tests on her household and family contacts to determine if she could have been infected by them.

If she kena means other hawkers and customers might also kena.

By the way, was it really necessary to publish the places where they live?

How many had past infection but slipped through the net? Teehee...

Why all the fuss over a virus that is absolutely harmless in the vast majority of the population?

I suppose big discounts at tekka? Or PAP planned to acquire the area cheaply for more chinatowns?

Leaders of a country or organization must have due diligence and common sense.

When we tell our people not to wear masks because we don't have enough to go around, when we import eggs from bird-flu european countries, and import prawns from contaminated middle-east ponds that are banned even in Africa, I began to understand that our leader just sign blindly on policies.

Our healthcare policy was to present low-death rates for COVID. You will be surprised that the non-COVID respiratory-related deaths among elders is not low this year. Likewise, in the past two decades, we have many people who died because of Dengue but declared "organ-failure" or other skin-deep reasons in their death certs.

You recall those days with 5 day MCs? Teehee...

bad practices.

Likewise many civil services and staff in GLCs and stat boards have not returned to office since CB.
