A 17-year-old poly student is being harassed by loansharks after he accumulated a $15,000 gambling debt.
The teen who stays in the east side got heavily into debt after he learnt to bet on soccer matches.
The unhappy teen had taken to lingering in LAN shops as he was often broke.
There, he learnt to bet and the LAN shop even offered a $2,000 credit line to him for betting.
He quickly lost $1,000 and could not pay up when the shop's "gambling agent" approached him for the money.
The agent introduced him to loansharks to help him clear his debt.
Meanwhile, as the teen borrowed more money, he continued to bet on more matches in hopes of winning back his money.
The teen bet larger and larger sums and ended up owing seven loansharks a total of $15,000.
The loansharks have taken to harassing him at his home and have splashed paint on his door. As a result, his parents' relationship is on the rocks and headed for a divorce.
