May 21st, 2011 |
Author: Temasek Review |
Edit
In a ‘convincing’ show of its impartiality, the police has confirmed that the report lodged against Ms Tin Pei Ling is being ‘investigated’.
The initial report was lodged on 12th May 2011 against Ms Tin for alleged violation of the cooling-off day regulation under the PEA, ironically implemented by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the immediate superior of her husband.
Ms Tin posted a snide remark on her Facebook on 6 May 2011 at around 1.33pm. She later claimed that it was posted by her administrator ‘Denise He’ though she was the only moderator declared in the election form for online advertising.
The Temasek Review learnt that the case is being handled by IO Liew Shiow Mei of the Commercial Crime Division, contactable via 65573746.
However, Netizens expecting a swift investigation should not put too much hope on it being one as the police has been known to ’sit on’ cases when ‘one of the family’ is being investigated, even for textbook cases.
A perfect example of such textbook case which is ’still being investigated’ would be one against former TNP journalist Ng Wan Ching for allegedly revealing confidential police information, lodged more than a year ago.
An ex-Malaysian, Ng Wan Ching who made a name for herself by reproducing materials from PORN site on TNP, is now a Deputy Editor of the Straits Times.
