LHL: We achieved steady growth of 4.8 per cent this year.
FAF: Hey idiot, we pay you to take care of Singapore and its people. Who from hell ask you to take care of GDP?
LHL: The external environment is uncertain.
FAF: You are not even certain of Singapore internal environment and you want to know external environment?
LHL: Debt problems in Europe are far from solved.
FAF: Why you so busybody? Europe has their own government, solve the debts of Singaporeans first.
LHL: Next year looks like being difficult for the global economy.
FAF: What you fortune teller ah? Today is 1st Jan 2012 and you can see next year?
LHL: As a small, open country, Singapore will inevitably be affected.
FAF: Who don’t know Singapore is only a small red dot? Can you set up a team to find out which part of Singapore will be affected and prevent it.
LHL: Amidst this flux, we need to be confident of our position, and clear about our priorities and plans to build a better Singapore.
FAF: What the fucks are you mumbling?
LHL: We are working hard to tackle our immediate challenges.
FAF: You mean you are not happy with Gerald’s report and you want immediate challenges?
LHL: The Government is committed to keeping homes affordable to all Singaporeans.
FAF: Shortie Mah said that many times already. How much is affordable and what is the cost of HDB flats?
LHL: We launched 25,000 BTO flats this year, enabling many first timers to book their HDB flats. In 2012 we are launching another 25,000 BTO flats. In the private property market, the Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty will moderate capital inflows and foreign demand, and help to stabilise prices.
FAF: So you tackled 50,000 first timers. Can you be sure they will vote for you?
LHL: We will redouble efforts to improve our public transport system and expand the train and bus network.
FAF: You mean when you tripled the FT influx you don’t know we have not got enough trains and buses?
LHL: We will identify and put right the causes of the recent MRT disruptions.
FAF: Do you need 3 or 5 years to do that? And after that you give permission to increase price again?
LHL: The Circle Line, completed in October, now transports 300,000 commuters daily.
FAF: Have you find out many percent are tourists?
LHL: More MRT lines are on the way
FAF: I know that and how many trains you buy from China cannot be used here?
LHL: We will also continue to enhance bus services to improve the daily commuting experience. However, these improvements will take time, so meanwhile please bear with us.
FAF: Asshole, we heard that many times during your father’s control and we have been bearing it for a many elections already.
Cheers & Happy New Year!
