LHL: We achieved steady growth of 4.8 per cent this year.
FAF: Hey idiot, we pay you to take care of Singapore and its people. Who from hell ask you to take care of GDP?
LHL: The external environment is uncertain.
FAF: You are not even certain of Singapore internal environment and you want to know external environment?
LHL: Debt problems in Europe are far from solved.
FAF: Why you so busybody? Europe has their own government, solve the debts of Singaporeans first.
LHL: Next year looks like being difficult for the global economy.
FAF: What you fortune teller ah? Today is 1st Jan 2012 and you can see next year?
LHL: As a small, open country, Singapore will inevitably be affected.
FAF: Who don’t know Singapore is only a small red dot? Can you set up a team to find out which part of Singapore will be affected and prevent it.
LHL: Amidst this flux, we need to be confident of our position, and clear about our priorities and plans to build a better Singapore.
FAF: What the fucks are you mumbling?
LHL: We are working hard to tackle our immediate challenges.
FAF: You mean you are not happy with Gerald’s report and you want immediate challenges?
LHL: The Government is committed to keeping homes affordable to all Singaporeans.
FAF: Shortie Mah said that many times already. How much is affordable and what is the cost of HDB flats?
LHL: We launched 25,000 BTO flats this year, enabling many first timers to book their HDB flats. In 2012 we are launching another 25,000 BTO flats. In the private property market, the Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty will moderate capital inflows and foreign demand, and help to stabilise prices.
FAF: So you tackled 50,000 first timers. Can you be sure they will vote for you?
LHL: We will redouble efforts to improve our public transport system and expand the train and bus network.
FAF: You mean when you tripled the FT influx you don’t know we have not got enough trains and buses?
LHL: We will identify and put right the causes of the recent MRT disruptions.
FAF: Do you need 3 or 5 years to do that? And after that you give permission to increase price again?
LHL: The Circle Line, completed in October, now transports 300,000 commuters daily.
FAF: Have you find out many percent are tourists?
LHL: More MRT lines are on the way
FAF: I know that and how many trains you buy from China cannot be used here?
LHL: We will also continue to enhance bus services to improve the daily commuting experience. However, these improvements will take time, so meanwhile please bear with us.
FAF: Asshole, we heard that many times during your father’s control and we have been bearing it for a many elections already.

Cheers & Happy New Year!

Part 2

LHL: Beyond these pressing concerns, we are attending to long-term issues to improve Singaporeans' lives.
FAF: Your long term investment by GIC and Temasek can improve Singaporeans’ lives?
LHL: Healthcare must stay affordable and accessible to give Singaporeans peace of mind.
FAF: Affordable and accessible are dirty words now. I heard prices for medicines in hospital are 4 times higher than in Polyclinics
LHL: We are enhancing our education system to give young Singaporeans the best possible start in life.
FAF: You give away scholarships to strangers and that is giving young Singaporean a headstart?
LHL: We must uphold inclusive growth and social mobility as pillars of a united Singapore.
FAF: What the fuck is that?
LHL: This calls both for upgrading our skills and productivity to improve wages, and for strengthening our social safety nets.
FAF: You mean the people of Singapore have no skill except you and your kakis?
LHL: Population is a particularly complex and critical challenge.
FAF: Of course it’s a challenge to your father’s stop at two thingy.
LHL: Like most other developed societies, Singaporeans are having too few babies, and our population is ageing.
FAF: Other countries did not shaft the stop at two into the people’s throats but your father did. So we are not like most other developed countries. So only our population is ageing then you must ask those developed countries how they keep their citizens young.
LHL: We must find workable solutions to keep our society vibrant and forward-looking, maintain our economic vitality and strengthen our Singapore core.
FAF: Your famous and remarkable father historically controlled this country for decades haven’t found a solution and what gives you the idea you can?
LHL: There are many factors to consider. Singaporeans need to have enough children to replace ourselves, yet getting married and having children are ultimately personal decisions.
FAF: Personal decisions? It used to be until your father decides two is enough for us.
LHL: A vibrant economy needs enough workers and talent, yet we run into physical and social constraints if we admit too many foreign workers too quickly.
FAF: Why? Because you idiots never do your homework properly. Ask Mah Bow Tan he's the expert.
LHL: Diversity enriches our society, but only provided new arrivals adopt our values and culture.
FAF: You mean until now you are still not sure what’s in their hearts and minds? Didn’t you learn the first round when the Hongkists played you out?
LHL: We need to balance all these conflicting factors, make judicious compromises, and accept the unavoidable trade-offs.
FAF: It’s easy for you to compromise and accept the trade-offs but the people are the one feeling the pinch not you!
LHL: These are real and present issues.
FAF: All these while you didn’t know there are real? The people woke you up didn’t they?
LHL: We are tightening the inflow of foreign workers to a more sustainable rate.
FAF: How can the people believe you? You keep the data the people don’t.
LHL: Companies are already feeling the pinch, especially SMEs.
FAF: Which trades those SMEs are in and your GLCs did not?
LHL: Individual Singaporeans will feel it too, because many foreign workers do jobs that serve citizens.
FAF: So the foreigners serve the citizens and the citizens must serve you? You forgotten what you said during the election? You are still the servant of the people.
LHL: Admitting fewer foreign workers also means forgoing business opportunities and accepting slower growth
FAF: Don’t bullshit, now you finding excuse because the people want lesser foreigners? And by the way what fucking growth you are talking about? Your growth or the people’s growth?
LHL: This is one reason why we only expect 1-3 per cent growth next year, and why we must do our utmost to raise productivity, to make up in quality what we will miss in quantity.
FAF: We not really very interested in the percentage growth we are more concern over GIC and Temasek percentage loss.
LHL: These population issues affect us all.
FAF: You are wrong not all. Only affect those who retire with less than $131,000 min sum.
LHL: We will discuss them over the next year, so that we can understand better what is at stake, and what choices we must make as a nation.
FAF: The ministerial salary took few months. COI SMRT 3-5 years and this time you again ask for year not months. OK not too late. After your discussion come back to me.
