This govt is like that - the moment it hits their pocket affecting tourism and the economy, then they will come to a bit more life!

If it is just your breathing diffuclites, yr asthma, your lung problems and general malaise, they will do fuck all, and tell you to carry on with life.

Again, our precious Ministers will hide in their big houses in their ACs and offices and covered private carparks without any exposure. Are we going to see them walking the constituencies and assuring the people? Wait long long.

hahaha....it is true that gahmen took OSH very seriously...and will not hesitate to throw the WSH Act at any errant employers..
when any major incident happened, stop work order will be issued immediately...
work will only resumed when they are satisfied that the workplace is safe enough.....
if there is any voilation, the company and individual supervisor/manager responsible will charged in court and fine/jail term meted out.
MOM also conducts regular spot checks on safety regulations compliance and again fines are issued for voilations...

at the company level, safety record is a KPI for the CEO and all management staff (senior/junior)...
when there is any fatality, the bonus of the people on the line up to the CEO will be adversely affected...

so the question is why does accidents still happen???
the answer is very simple, individuals tend to take risk/short cuts....especially those idiotic foreign workers...

give u an example....
everybody knows that it is very dangerous to drink and drive but there are many idiots who still do it....

i just gave example of drink driving and now there was an incident yesterday involving a suspected drink driver who knocked into the cars at a manual car wash station in woodlands....2dead, 1 seriously injured...how tragic....
