Actually, the job of the President is not to look after the funds. It is the Goverment's job. For example, he can't decide how to invest it. He can't even decide on how to use it. He can only agree or disagree to the government of the day's request to use PAST reserves.....


On your point about the President's salary. He is paid a huge sum because the Prime Minister is paid a hugh sum and the President is above the PM on protocol. Nothing to do with paying him big sums like fund managers. Nathan hardly had relevant experience in the financial world.

For the sake of our nation and for the sake of our national stability, we need to help the PAP. I know you guys will be up in arms on this. But think logical, for stability of our nation and livelihood, we may still need the PAP to continue their rule and we need to help them stay in power ( for the time being). To do this we need to help save them from themselves.If we leave them alone with al their cronies, they will die from within themselves. To make them sit up and work towards the common good of the people instead of themselves we need to administer chemotheraphy ie,- use poison to fight poison.Put in another way they need someone with an equal bite to help them. In order to do this we must vote and can only vote for Mr Tan Jee Say.
