Please take up cycling

Lost my Cannondale a few years ago and decided to just get a cheap MTB for my rides. In Singapore, the police can't be bothered to investigate stolen bikes as everyday many such cases occurs.

I thought Singapore was a safe, low crime city. Is the PAP fiddling with the crime stats?

I suppose the answer is different today because something doesn't quite come to attention.

It's working fine. No pharmaceutical assistance required. It's just that the activity does not preoccupy my routine anymore.

you mean bicycling better than sex?

had a gf who was into cleat to get clit pleasure. she had to stop because an orgasm in the middle of a ride can be dangerous. either that or she had to remove the seat. :o

Pinky was into cycling for a while but I wonder where did he cycle? In Istana?

I dun like cycling, my testicles too big...very uncomfortable when on bicycle seat.

Well suffice to say this is a rather ambigious way to say i don't have a partner to engage in said activity.

Now you don't expect an old hand to be bothered by a bit of ribbing do you. ;)

Nothing beats the high from having won a bike race or from completing a 5 hour training ride and beating the rest of the guys up every hill there was. The buzz lasts for more than 24 hours.

On the other hand, a shit ride can cause major depression which can last till redemption is achieved with another great ride. This can take as long as two weeks.

this can be true of any competitive sport, not just cycling.

cycling requires space. singapore has none to spare.

why not take up chess? or fishing?

the world is big, why restrict yourself to 640 sqkm and squeeze inside. it makes no sense.

My type of bike

:D

I do a fair amt of cycling in Montreal. There the weather is unbeatable, the bike culture strong, there are laws that protect bikers, and the METRO transport system allows bikes (not nec folded) to be brought on, so this really extends one's trip.

But it's a pain in the ass if you dont find the right saddle. Of course, get strong locks.

If it's not investigated, it's not a crime.

Just like unemployment. If you're out of a job for more than six months, you're no longer unemployed, as far as the unemployment statistics are concerned.

that happen to me also, dunnoe to let them hang left or right side

now considering removing the seat altogether

If you do get over it and decide to get another bike, would you go back to specialized?

That bike was sturdy but a bit heavy. I'm not a serious rider. So I'll get Specialized or Trek plus a very very good lock next time.

You are right. When I found out that my bike was nicked, I lost any hope of seeing it again. Our police are just too busy.

It was a traumatic experience. I'll think twice about getting an expensive bike.

Back in 1975, meself and two of me schoolmates decided to steal bicyles. In one afternoon we got seven. One was a Legnano. All of them, we simply strolled into homes through open gates in Opera Estate and Lucky Heights and rode out on two-wheels. We were just teenage schoolboys, not criminals.

Cheers!
