That is what my friend did!!!, lost his two swanky cars, a house in the city & a house near the beach.....former son of the land, came back. paid expat salary & benefits, made enough to restart & is now back in Australia....SINgapore is a best place on earth to make the money, if you have the connection....

FTsh get the high paying jobs and their unemployment rate is low. Since there are many FTsh owned companies in SG, they prefer to employ their own countrymen. Locals get kicked out to become taxi drivers, cleaners, etc and their unemployment rate is also low. Remember, some of these taxi drivers are local PMETs. So, if unemployment rate is low in SG, who benefits more?

in SG cronyism is disguised as networking. corruption is legalised. so there is no cronyism and no corruption in SG. there is no official poverty line. so there is no poor in SG.

without belabouring over it, you shd ask the pap why did it compel Singaporeans to do 40days of NS obligation whereas foreign workers are exempted. that would give you a clearer picture why singaporean guys are disadvantaged

i agree with him that pap did its best.

But pap's best is not good enough because:

1. PAP is incompetent
2. PAP's plans are based on wrong assumptions
3. PAP has been given wrong feedbacks by its grassroots

To sum up, pap is bad for SG and must be voted out to save Singapore

PAP is hardly doing its best. It is practicing crony capitalism, selling out the country to foreigners for GDP growth, diluting the national identity, and robbing PMETs of jobs that they could have taken if not for foreign employer discrimination over NS and CPF.

The PAP is serving the narrow interest of foreigner led GDP growth at the expense of the welfare of the poor and middle classes. All their apologies have been contrived, hollow, insincere. Doing their best? Hardly.
