A pimp, who got women have sex with him so as to test their skills, rate their bodies and recommend a suitable price for their sexual services, was jailed for four months.

Larry Tan Swee Lai, who started as a pimp in 2006, was arrested with his accomplice, Ng Soh Sin, 43, in November 2012.

On Wednesday, both were jailed for four months by a district court. They had pleaded guilty to procuring women for prostitution and living off their earnings. They also admitted to managing premises for prostitution.

Tan, 51, and Ng would upload photographs of their prostitutes with details such as age, height, weight, and type of services offered on an online forum.

Those interested would send Tan or Ng their contact numbers through the forum threads. The duo would then make reservations for a hotel room and arrange for the customer and prostitute to meet for sex.
