Only thing I don't like about owning Malaysian shares is that my broker in Spore gets to charge me holding fees & the dividen I receive is charged GST

I'm thinking about opening a trading account with Maybank in JB & moving the physical shares to Malaysia. Do you know if this is easy to do?

I thought of that too but never got round to it
It's a good idea if you're going to hold those shares long term
Account opening should be a straightforward transaction done in person
But note that those people in JB are not terribly efficient
So maybe have to be quite patient!
The transferring of shares might take some time.

I guess, it's also a scam. There are a ton of frauds out there that you need to keep away from, but occasionally this is not always possible. Individuals exploit each other all the time in this world. Do not feel bad if you got caught in a fraud; you are not the only one.
