PEASANTPORE: Public transport fares and reliability are two separate matters, and peasants must endure fare hikes despite getting a lousy train service, said Transport Minion Penang Laksa Khaw on Friday (May 18).

Penang Laksa was responding to parliamentary questions from Nee Soon Peasants' Representative Lee Ah Wah and Non-Erected Peasants' Representative Dennis Tan on whether rail reliability and service standards can be captured in the new fare formula which determines how much peasants pay for public transport.

But Penang Laksa said he put "best effort to see that transport cartel operators continue to screw up despite fare hikes.

"My KPI is to ensure the transport cartels make profits so that they contribute to Ho Jinx's punting pot. Whether peasants are taken for a ride or not, I don't give a damn because I got a car and million dollar pay cheque," he said.

Labour Pariah Tan had suggested adding a reliability component to the fare formula to penalise operators through lower fares for not performing up to standard.

"KNNCCB, Ruler Loong says got meritocracy, but transport cartel exempted, what the hell? Is Penang Laksa learning from Najib here, you take peasants' tax dollars and buy buses to help transport cartels' bottomline, that one we close one eye. Today you say more fare hikes but no service improvement? You think we are from Sarawak?".

Penang Laksa stressed the BSEP scam is to ensure profits for SMRT and he will not allow them to spend more money to improve reliability as Ho Jinx will be most upset.

"Not happy, migrate to Aussie land lor, or better still, go Matland now that they disposed Najib. If you want to stay in Peasantpore, tremble and obey Ruler Loong's edicts", Penang Laksa sneered.

PEASANTPORE: Peasants' Representatives must encourage senior peasants who face difficulties paying for public transport to walk more. In addition, to prove a point, on Feb 5, Penang Laksa told Imperial Court that he will remove the off-peak pass for elderly commuters.

In the colonial days, they walk a lot, I don't understand why they can't walk now more today?” Penang Laksa questioned Labour Pariahs.

To that end, Non-Erected Peasants' Representative Daniel Goh questioned if Penang Laksa is unafraid of divine retribution.

Penang Laksa said he doubted so, as “I only know Ruler Loong signs my pay cheque”.

Hello, my bank account very fat, every year I earn at least one million, I got transport claims, free medical care, pay $8 for surgery, and a fat cat pension, do you think I give a damn to old peasants?,” he explained.

When Pariah Goh asked about the possibility of letting seniors choose between purchasing an off-peak pass or an all-day pass, Penang Laksa reiterated that the former was an experiment that failed “miserably”.

These old peasants got problem walking, you think they take the lousy public transport? That why I say you are an idiot” he sneered.
