A poster designed by the Pilipino Independence Day Council Singapore (PDICS) for its Independence Day Celebration at Takashimaya has drawn flak with some criticizing it as being similar to the flag used by the Japanese Imperial Army during its occupation of Singapore in the Second World War.
Critics also took issue with the image of a group of Filipinos planting a flag in the poster:

In an interview with ABS-CBN, the PDICS co-chair Rychie Andres explained that the poster was meant to convey the theme of “independence-interdependence”.

He explained that the theme of independence and interdependence was meant to convey positive relationship between Filipino citizens and Singapore:

“When you say interdependence, it does not mean dependence is one way; it is a two-way street. Aligning ourselves with ASEAN and the coming (2015) integration, that’s where we could start, the nations start in helping each other.”

We “catch no ball” with regard to what Rychie Andres says but do you agree with the comparison of the poster to the Japanese Shonan flag?

Yes the similiarity is too much to ignore. And the govt is doing nothing to such suggestive posters.

What fucking pinoy is saying is that sinkies better know that sinkieland needs the talented pinoys more than they need the shitland (dependence-interdependence shit). More pinoys are also expected into the shitland with ASEAN 2015 pact. Shitland has now been conquered by pinoys or will be conquered by pinoys and that explains their rising sun poster with pinoy shit in it.
