The entire region was Indianised by trade and religion - first Hinduism and then Buddism. Not through mass immigration like today.Singapura is a name of Indian origin. Not many other cities in South East Asia have such name. Shah Alam another near KL. These are not originated from Malays.

China all the wayEdwin is being disingenuous here. The issue is unbridled immigration, not race. He is conflating the two, hoping to use the strawman fallacy to hoodwink Sinkies.
Unbridled immigration stresses our social and physical infrastructure, depresses wages, drives up cost of living, strains our social fabric, and causes local talent to leave.
George Yeo one phone call can solve all these issuesShit stirring Tiongs, give 30-day visa-free privilege to those detestable creatures some more lah.![]()

Because the CECA agreement obliges Singapore to allow Indian nationals unfettered access to work here in 127 professions, plus long stay visas for their spouses and children. Many Singaporeans qualify for these jobs but are displaced by Indians, many with dubious qualifications and competence. There are 650,000 Indian nationals working here currently. The more important question to asked : why are only CECA is targeted? Singapore have more than a single race, but why CECA instead of other race?
