Do not be disheartened. For those of you who'd been following Singapore GEs long enough, you would understand that to beat the PAP being better than them is not good enough. You need to be A LOT better than them to win. Operating in the impossible stifled political environment of Singapore, i would call this election a success for Opposition as a whole, especially WP and NSP.
SPP should not feel too downcast, there is hope. CST's unexpected stroke made him unprepared for succession hence the defeat, but his votes is by no means low.
