The 2 low-ranking politicians have such an air of self-importance that defies logic. AGC rightly served the papers on them and any bloody fool with common sense and some basic decency would make it a point to attend court since they are 2 of the most vocal and opportunistic MPs in the PAP ranks and it was them that so openly and publicly (through PAP mouthpieces of course) challenged the AHPC's accounts for Punggol East. So it makes one wonder why they have no balls to attend court. Chickened out?Utter disrespect to the Apex court and the CJ!
Charles Ong has excused note from Whore Jinx, his Stomachsick Boss. This note is get of jail free card anywhere in singapore. The judge orders are not nearly as powerful as this note. Charles courier the note over to the judge and he will tiam tiam after that. As for Zainal, his excuse his he is still weak from fasting and its too strenous for him to go to court. Must understand these things lah.
Charles Chong was a QC inspector in engineering dept when he was elected as President of SIA Staff Union in 1985. At that time and for many years, SIA various unions refused to join NTUC because they knew they could not bargain for their rights effectively. The Govt and NTUC to pull SIA unions into their orbit, made Charles Chong a PAP MP in 1988 going he will pull the unions into NTUC. The SIA Staff Union promptly moved a motion of no confidence and sacked him for his betrayal.
To save face, PAP and NTUC quickly helped him get the Engineering staff sub-union to breakaway and form their own SIA in-house union under him. PAP pressured SIA executive level staff who were not unions to join his union because they needed the numbers. To pretend that he is his own man, this union actually became one of the last to join NTUC among the SIA union.
Till today, most SIA staff especially the pilots and the Cabin Crews which is the backbone and face of SIA have no respect for this arsehole. They consider him a turncoat and enemy of the worker.
Imagine sacked by his own colleagues who have no faith in him and he is an MP representing people.

A Warrant of Arrest will be issued against you when you fail to attend Court. A Warrant of Arrest may also be issued against you for non-payment of fine(s).
The Warrant will be handed over to the Warrant Enforcement Unit (a division of the Singapore Police Force) or the respective enforcement agencies for them to execute. The police will either arrest you or you may be asked to surrender yourself at the Warrant Enforcement Unit for the warrant to be executed.
