PAP accused WP of benefiting their "supporters". Let's see how PAP benefits themselves and their next-of-kins. Below is a list of high positions (commanding high salaries) hold by PAP MPs/ministers and their relatives (feel free to add):

(1) Ng Eng Hen’s wife (Ivy Lim Swee Lian) is CEO of SingHealth (a PAP government body controlling SGH, KK Hospital and all Polyclinics).

(2) Josephine Teo’s husband (Teo Eng Cheong) is CEO of International Enterprise (IE) Singapore (a PAP government agency).

(3) Lee Hsien Loong’s wife (Ho Ching) is CEO of Temasek Holdings.

(4) Ho Ching's brother (Ho Peng Kee) was former PAP minister and now in NUS.

(5) Lee Hsien Loong’s sister (Lee Wei Ling) is Head of National Neuroscience Institute (a PAP government medical institution).

(6) Lee Hsien Loong’s brother (Lee Hsien Yang) is Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (a PAP government statutory board).
(7) President Tony Tan’s son-in-law (Simon Chesterman) is the Law Dean at NUS.

(8) Former PAP minister (and still a PAP member), Lim Boon Heng, is Chairman of Temasek Holdings.

(9) PAP MP Seah Kian Peng is CEO of NTUC Fairprice, which is part of NTUC, headed by another PAP minister, Lim Swee Say.

(10) Former PAP minister (and still a PAP member), Lee Boon Yang, is Chairman of Singapore Press Holdings and Keppel Corporation (both are GLCs).

(10) Former PAP MP (and still a PAP member) Chandra Das is Chairman of AIM Pte Ltd, the $2 company that "bought" the $20 million town council IT systems for a song.

THERE MUST BE MORE....what do you think?

There's a big difference. In the above examples, although the position may be held by a relative of a politician, they earned the position on their own merit and not because they are family members.

In the WP's case, useless people are appointed by the WP solely because they are friends and relatives.

The PAP started it with Opposition wards will be upgraded last. So they started the principle of rewarding supporters. I cant see how they can get much mileage by accusing the WP of cronyism.

But do get your facts right. Ho Peng Kee is not Ho Chings's brother.

Lies.

In PAP's case, relatives of PAP MPs are involved and "friends" are also PAP MPs.

In WP's case, relatives of WP MPs are NOT involved and "friends" are NOT WP MPs, candidates or members.
