My friend runs a PI agency. And he says business is good. Spouse infidelity investigation is the biggest business earner. But now there is a bigger cake. Parents checking on the GFs of their sons.

One recent case. A wealthy family hired him to check out the girl, a NUS economics student on whom their son was madly is love with. The parents had some suspicions on the girl from the start when he brought her home.

But their son was adamant and the couple even got engaged.

Within 2 weeks, the PI brought photographic proof to the parents. The girl hugging and kissing another man in a car while the son was in camp. It seem she and the man was already close for last 6 years. And the man was aware about her relationship with the boy. It was a gold digger scam arrangement. The PI had checked out the man's background as well. He had some shady records.

The photos were great proof to end the relationship and all potential legal liabilities. The mother gave the PI an additional gift 10K bonus, over and above his fees.

I predict that over the next 10 years, the job of a PI will become global.

On the contrary, I predict that the PI industry will collapse within the next five years. Nowadays, the young girls will make video and post online, turn up at adulterer's home and call the wife. Where got need PIs anymore?
