rent in tokyo is sexpensive for low pay japs but affordable to sinkies. usd400 in outskirts of tokyo for a 400 sqft studio but usd800 in metro tokyo for a 69-76 sqft micro apartment a.k.a. shithole. the average pay in jp for a salaried man is only usd2000 per month. for fulltime female employee, only usd1200. for part time female employee only usd600. if young female loses her job and can’t find another in 3 months she will be evicted.

Even though English is considered a global language, most S'poreans appear to have command of less than 35% of the words in the lexicon. Adding Singlish into the mix serves only to confuse and hinder the learning of Standard English. This accounts for the lack of fluency in spoken English among the majority of adults, in spite of 10 years or more of instruction in an English-medium school environment. Generations of young Singaporeans enter the working world hampered by their inability to be understood globally.

Second earthquake strikes Johor, tremors felt across four states
The epicentre was located 28 kilometres northwest of Kluang at a depth of 10 kilometres - August 24, 2025

A SECOND minor earthquake was recorded in Johor this morning, this time in the north-west of Kluang, just hours after an earlier tremor was felt in Segamat.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the latest quake occurred at 9:00am and registered a magnitude of 2.8.

The epicentre was located 28 kilometres northwest of Kluang at a depth of 10 kilometres, centred at coordinates 2.2°N and 103.1°E. Although categorised as weak, the tremors were reportedly felt across parts of Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and southern Pahang.

It followed a stronger 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Segamat at 6:13am the same day, which was also felt in several neighbouring states.

MetMalaysia assured the public there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia from either event and confirmed that it is continuing to monitor the situation closely.

In a social media statement, the agency urged members of the public who felt the tremors to assist in impact assessment by completing an official questionnaire, detailing their location at the time of the quake and the type of building they were in.

“No damage or casualties have been reported at this time,” MetMalaysia stated.

Johor Chief Minister Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, citing information from Segamat District Officer Mohd Ezzuddin Sanusi, confirmed there were no injuries or property damage reported following the earlier quake in Segamat.

He advised the public to avoid structurally unsafe buildings and to remain alert to official updates.

Yes that is true. Because of the mixture of the language that confuses the grammar. Anyway, jhk only envy that sinkie English is better than them tat is all nothing already. Plus some misan English is good esp those study in kL and don’t have msian accent and they also can speak many more languages than sinkie!
