I am sure it is one of the most important or interesting thing in the minds of Singaporeans and residents on where did the $387 M has gone.

This govt has a duty and obligation to clearly spell out how the following were spent
1) 387M from public purse
2) $60 million in sponsorship
3) Good and services (value yet to be determined ) that were donated to YOG or in the name of YOG.
Thats close to half billion in total.

The bad quality and quantity of food for volunteers has left not only a bad taste but a lingering smell that needs to be eliminated. If Viv B, Teo Ser Luck and Ng Ser Miang have nothing to hide, they should have the itemised bill made public including naming all the recipients of all the contracts.

Ng Ser Miang delivered Glenn Knight, then the AG Designate on a platter, he got the govt to hand him a bus licence with no bidding and then got the same govt to buy it back at a good price. Time to show the goods.

The whole thing reeks of cronyism.

Indeed! It is the job of the opposition to question every move of the incumbents and make the incumbents look really bad. Make the good policy sound bad and make the bad policy sound really bad

But i don't really see them doing that? Is it because that state own mediacorpse not allowed to interview opposition member for their comments?

This is the main reason. Even if the APs were to ask, the media will not show. And when they show, they will twist and turn the words and edit the entire thing to make the APs look bad.

wahlaneh...
best do it like hospitals eg 1 pack of cotton wool $5/-, 1 piece of handiplast $2/-, etc...

GMS, CSJ and KJ, please follow up on this - ask for the itemised list for the $387M :)

we r not born yesterday. the invoices can come from all corners of the island to make the sum legit. or in fact, bcos the invoices have exceeded the disclosed sum, hence leading to the need for more GLC sponsors (ironically irrelevant to sports)

If you want answers like this, you HAVE TO vote Opposition members into Parliament.

If these questions are asked Outside of Parliament, it is all to easy to start the famous slander suit to stop the question.

If the questions are asked INSIDE Parliament, the Parlimentary prvilege protecting the ELECTED MP will allow difficult questions. It will allow these difficult questions to be asked until a proper accounting is made to the Singapore people.

It will take 5 man years at least to itemise and report this YOG bill to the world.

Itemised report is umimportant, the BIG spin-offs effect which generated by the expenditure that is worth it will be take 10 man years to report.

Ng Ser Miang still staying near Camden Park?

I

First they have to ask and then they can display the answer on their website. This is hot burning issues and they have now cut across the spectrum as it has affected school kids, parents, inconvenienced motorist etc. The opposition can wait and they also stop giving excuses that the main stream media does not report. Low and the WP should not be afraid of the Internet. RP is slow on this issue and SPP seemed to slow down dramatically in the last 10 years.

Viv B : You want JC, LCCI or ACCA accounting? These cost more money and more manhours.

Agree. This is great opportunity. There are many angles to press and seek answers.

1) why did they bid for this and who did the demand study for this
2) why did the cost over run occur and what permanent facilities did come out from this as typical of such events.
3) Why was the food so bad. Did we get cheated?
4) Why were kids threathened to attend events
5) Why was the marketing so poor
6) Who did the blind girl advert and what was intended message.
7) Who handled the communications with Ministry of Education
8) Why did no one turn up to welcome the first team to come into Singapore
9) Why was press not given details to cover th schedules and stories despite they complaining in the press.

For the Renci Monk affair he used Australian accounting firm to do the forensic accounting so that it does not circulate in the local circles. Maybe he will do the same.

Goh Meng Seng has been quite active on this issue. He made the following video about how the money has been wasted.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tECcYnYQ7A8?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tECcYnYQ7A8?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

As we go forward, more evidence of this waste will surface. The following shows the facebook album of the concert venue they set up at the Sail. It was largely empty. The cost of the stage, band etc would be between $100k to $200k.

Do you know if the bands were paid to perform? Did they get buffet spread or YOG 'dog food'?

That's what he did to the Renci monk. You don't serious think that he'd do that to himself, do you?

What is this supposed to mean ? Bus licence ??

While we're at it, we can also demand answers to:

2. What are the detailed breakdown results of the PTC-conducted 24 million trips distance-based fare survey mentioned by Raymond Lim?

3. How was the $10 million spent on the FT integration? Breakdiown pls.

4. How much was spent on flood controls over the last 5 years and what is the breakdown? What and where?

Mr Dragoon Lee - where's all our money??
