A survey conducted by an independant civic group has indicated that only 43% of residents at Queenstown will vote for PAP in the coming General Election (GE).
The poll, conducted from 8th March to 20th March this year includes residents at Commonwealth Crescent Market, Mei Ling Market, Block 88 Tanglin Halt, Tanglin Halt Hawker Centre, Stirling View, Block 6 Jalan Bukit Merah, Dawson Place & Queenstown MRT.
Among the residents polled, 43% indicated that they will vote for the People¡¯s Action Party, 40% will vote for any Opposition Party while the rest are either undecided or not interested to vote (chart below).

This election is going to be an exciting and meaningful one. The opposition camp has been more prepared while the candidates of the ruling party were ¡°deemed as more controversial¡± compared to the previous elections.
What makes this election even more important is that Queenstown will form about half the entire electorate in Tanjong Pagar GRC.
So far, only the dormant Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lead by Mr Seow Khee Leng has expressed interest in contesting the Tanjong Pagar GRC.
The DPP officially registered as a party on 16 March 1973 as a father and son combination of Mr Tan Soo Phuan and his son Tan Lead Shake, an IT network administrator.
