Good Friday is one of the most sacred days in the Christian calendar. Around the world, many mark this day through quiet worship services, fasting and solemn traditions to reflect, practice compassion and express gratitude for the possibility of new beginnings. It is also a powerful reminder of sacrificial love and hope.
May your hearts be filled with peace, your spirits with reflection, and your day with meaning. Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed Good Friday and Easter.

60 years of heart and home in Telok Blangah. From the laughter of little ones dashing through the hall to families sharing stories over food and games, the community spirit was truly alive.
Grateful to be part of this meaningful celebration, and even more excited for the journey ahead.

I first met Rudy at our Meet-the-People sessions, and am glad that he is now paying it forward by volunteering to help his fellow residents.
It is always heartening to see young Singaporeans give back to the community.

Visited the Jalan Membina and Kim Tian estates in Tanjong Pagar GRC yesterday evening, where I met many residents unwinding after work and enjoying family time.
Also bumped into one of Singapore’s award-winning hawkers – spot him if you can!

“Stay calm, have a strong team to negotiate, and diversify our choices.”
These are three things we can do as a united country in the face of challenges.
During the youth engagement at ITE College West, student leaders also spoke about being a pillar of support for their peers.
Let us support one another, leave no one behind, and do our best for Singapore

Keechiu congratulates River Valley Primary School.

Chan Chun Sing

3d ·
Congratulations to River Valley Primary School as it marks its 40th anniversary this year, celebrating four decades of nurturing young minds and their potential. Since its founding, the school strives to look beyond academic achievement, focusing on creating a vibrant learning environment where children thrive and develop the resilience to navigate our ever-changing world.
To our young ones, I encourage you to not only embrace the joy of learning, but to consider how to make your learning count. Turning classroom lessons into community action, using your knowledge to solve problems, or getting involved in activities that benefit others – these are just the beginning of countless ways you can contribute and create positive change in your community.

I met with the Defence Chiefs of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) member-nations today, ahead of this year’s FPDA Defence Chiefs’ Conference.
For over 50 years, the FPDA has played a key role in promoting regional stability and defence cooperation among its five member-nations - Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

It will continue to adapt to contemporary challenges by enhancing conventional exercises and incorporating non-conventional elements, with a focus on high-end warfighting serials and introducing next-gen capabilities.
The newly-endorsed FPDA Exercise Concept Directive and five-year roadmap will guide our collective efforts.
I look forward to working closely with my counterparts to ensure that the FPDA remains relevant in an ever-changing security landscape.

Welcomed United States Secretary of Defense and fellow Fort Benning alumni Pete Hegseth to Singapore. I hosted him to breakfast, and showed him our sunny island from the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark.
Secretary Hegseth is here in Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue. We had a good meeting where we discussed geopolitical developments and reiterated our shared commitment to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
We also reminisced about our time as Infantry Officers in our respective Armies, including our memories of Fort Benning. I thanked him for the US’ strong support for generations of SAF personnel training in the US.
Looking forward to working closely with Secretary Hegseth to further strengthen our defence cooperation.

The SAF and the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) concluded Exercise Griffin Cakti, a bilateral Counter-Terrorism Field Training Exercise conducted off the waters of Batam, Indonesia.
Approximately 160 personnel and assets across naval, air, cyber and special operations units from both armed forces participated.
As close neighbours, this exercise underscores a shared commitment to work together in addressing maritime security challenges in our region. Our cooperation keeps our waters safer and helps to safeguard the peace and security that our people depend on.

A Ministry of Defence, Singapore (MINDEF) delegation led by Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad attended the 10th Indo Defence 2025 Expo & Forum in Jakarta yesterday.
Participation in overseas forums such as these encourage conversations, strengthen the relationship between our people, and provide opportunities for country-to-country collaboration.
We are also happy to support our good neighbour, Indonesia.
