A Japanese man has been arrested for collecting spit from primary school girls in Japan.
The 55-year-old man has been getting the girls to spit into a cup by telling them that he is conducting research. The girls were also filmed when giving the samples. The unemployed man was in fact using the collected spit for sexual gratification.
He told the police that he has had this hobby for the past 17 years, and has samples from more than 500 girls. He has been charged by the Tokyo police under a nuisance prevention law that “bans vulgar speech or actions in public that cause unease and anxiety to other people".
If convicted, the man could be jailed up to a year and fined a million yen.
He has also earned a nickname from the local kids: “Mister Give Me Spit”.
