Old man to contest in 2016

One clown predicted that old man won't contest in 2016. Besides stating the obvious, I am wondering if there are people out there who actually think that he will if he is still alive.

Firstly the guy is unable to stand, unable to control his gait, unable to control his mouth and which person honestly thinks that he will. He obviously won't be on stage even for sympathy votes.

More importantly even if he was fit, I would suggest the Singapore tide has turned and that if he will be on shaky ground as a candidate. When was the last time the old man has done anything of value. Anyone can recall.

He was asked on national TV in 2006, 8 years to fuck off and he still has not done anything of value except cost the taxpayers a fortune to provide the most expensive protection service , not to mention the exorbitant travel costs as well as the facilities in the Istana.

If he so dead keen on providing advice, he can do that from his own home and if the PAP is keen to get advice from him, they should pay him a stipend and make it public.

This guy is costing us a fortune, doing nothing to help his constituency, never attended a single MPS since he took power in 1959 and that's close to 55 years. Tanjong Pagar is long known as uneducated and ignorant Central and they kept it that way for so long. He needs them more than they need him.

How about gracefully steeping aside and do Singapore a huge favour.

As it is, he can't even serve his residents and haven't had a meet-the-people session for some time.

Yet he does not retire but receives a MP salary of $15,000.
For doing nothing he is collecting $180,000 per year (based on 12 months, not sure if they are pay 13 month).

Even the PAP knows about calculated risks even though they tend to stretch it out of arrogance and lack of tact.

In this case, LKY retiring in 2016 is a choice so obvious that they can't miss. To have LKY as a candidate in a wheelchair looking like the African refugee he looks like in recent photos just sends a very bad signal that the government is overall incompetent and sorry.

Rather than have him as a symbol of the PAP that is decrepit, broken and out of touch, might as well let him retire and let the MSM block out news on the opposition by overwhelming the newspapers with accolades what he has done for the last 60 years.
