A fire broke out this morning inside a lab on the second floor of Block S14, No. 10 Science Drive 4 of National University of Singapore's (NUS) Kent Ridge campus.
Citizen journalism website Stomp reported that smoke was seen coming out of the building.

Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers were on scene to put out the fire.
A SCDF spokesperson said the SCDF received a call at 2.56am about the fire.
Two fire engines, one Red Rhino, two fire bikes, one ambulance and five support vehicles were deployed.
"When we arrived, we saw that the fire was inside a biomedical laboratory and used three water jets to extinguish the fire.
"An area of 10 x 5 metres and the ceiling in the laboratory was affected.
"There were no injuries," the spokesperson said.
A NUS spokesperson told AsiaOne that no one was hurt in the incident and that the affected laboratory will be closed temporarily.
"The rest of the building has been declared safe by the SCDF and is ready for re-opening today.
"The safety of our staff and students is our topmost priority. The University is currently investigating this incident in collaboration with the SCDF," the spokesperson said.
