No Use Hospital most guai lan doctors and nurses I've ever come across

The only use I have for NUH is to use is as a shortcut when hiking from the NUS campus area towards Kent Ridge MRT and Science Park 1, Kent Ridge Park entrance.

What is so magnanimous about not wanting to spend more money on legal fees and debt collection charges on recovering payment from a patient who is bankrupt, disabled and bedridden? He has absolutely no means to pay NUH so the hospital is cutting its losses!

It is magnanimous to the pro-PAP doggies in this forum.

Even Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagles Hospitals won't throw good money after bad. Which finance dept would continue spending money on debt recovery that has already been proven to be futile, in the hopes of recovering the initial bill, but would result in even greater losses?

Wow! Legal cost was 10x the medical cost. There should be a limit to what lawyers can charge. This was probably why lky felt he was underpaid as a politician.

It involves a willing buyer (NUH) and willing seller (the lawyer engaged to recover the debt).

If magnanimous…why donch NUS takeover his bed ridden stay in the nursing home ?

He should have ensured that his surgeon was 4 board certified like @porcaputtana and the surgery would have gone perfectly.

Shit poor subsidised patients trying to sue doctors for money

Typical

Fortunately I no longer have to deal with these low SES types

Let the junior residents and consultants handle them

The hospital spends more money on debt collectors, recovery attorneys, and bill printing. The following day, you get at least three letters (duplicated) urging you to pay the five cents you unintentionally owed them after their staff forgot. I find it unsettling - repeated, duplicated letter reminders, going after 5 cts.

I aspire to be a loctor and surgeon like you. Be a good loctor.

Sometimes people sue loctors not for money. But most of the time, yes.

In this case, I think he sue for negligent, and he is already paralysed, so I think he sue for other cause, mostly for justice.
For me, if I sue a loctor, is more for justice than money.
Some loctors doesn't deserve to be a loctor.
