[h=2]NSman ‘advised’ by SAF officer to remove FB complaint on unprofessional SAF MO[/h]Posted by temasektimes on July 14, 2012

A NSman Mr Yang has been ‘advised’ by a SAF officer during his RT (Remedial Training) to remove a complaint he posted on his Facebook about a SAF Medical Officer (MO) Dr Wong Yi.

Mr Yang had earlier written about his unpleasant experience with Dr Wong whom he accused of shouting at him rudely when he reported sick at the Maju Camp Medical Center two weeks ago after experiencing giddy spells before a RT:

“I was sitting down on a chair when the MO walked directly in front of me. He looked down on me while he stood there and stared at me in a hostile manner. He then shouted, ”What do you want? This Medical Centre is not for anyone to report sick. You can only report sick if you collapse during training! You should have just told the PTI that you want to fall out!’”

Mr Yang’s post came to the attention of SAF and he was ‘advised’ by an officer to remove the post during his next RT training:

“The officer while chatting nicely with me, has at least on 3 occasions tell me to ”consider taking down the FB thread” but I explained, even if I took it down, it is on many sites & forums. I think he said someone asked me to do it, cant remember who or which department.”

It is not known if SAF is looking into Mr Yang’s complaint about its MO Dr Wong Yi.

Mr Yang has since written to us seeking advice on whether he should remove his Facebook post.

He is also still traumatized by the unpleasant encounter with the SAF MO.

There are no laws in Singapore forbidding NSmen posting their army experiences on their personal blogs and Facebooks. Mr Yang should consider escalating the matter up to the higher authorities such as the SAF Medical Corps and Singapore Medical Council if he feels his grievances have not been adequately addressed.

SAF is trying to cver up everything. Its their style. Always like that.
Always behaves in a non transparent way.

Yeah, it's a cover up.

Who's paying the officer and MO's paychecks? Mindef and SAF.

You think whatever higher up authority is going to give you fairness? That higher-up authority's paycheck is also determined by his Mindef and SAF superiors.

No.1 objective: their own paycheck
No.2 objective: make their own boss happy
.
.
.
.
No.999999 objective: your life and death

Oh, before the lip service "investigations" even begin, there's already an objective in mind.

1) Maintain good public image for the organisation. you die your business!
2) Maintain zero liability. If can't achieve zero liability, minimize liability. why? because the investigator gets a good performance review and bonus for doing this!
3) If there are unfavorable evidence, make them disappear or say they are irrelevant. (!!!!!)

Lucky he was not ad-viced. Maybe get chiobu occifer to jio him bring down the posting?

NS man should have written down & remember this M.O., name, full name. In the future, life is such, he will run into him again & if he is practicing still with the hospitals or private sector; he will have the chance to remind & FARK him! I will do that, if I will him, for I believe, life always have the strangest moment, especially if wrong had been done to self!

And who pays MINDEAF & SAF?

Yes, it's you and me, the taxpayers.

I've heard that way too many times. Let's check from a practical view whether that is true....

As far as the Mindef and SAF peeps are concerned, their immediate superior holds the keys to their paycheck.

You mind sharing how you control their immediate superior's paycheck then? Let me guess, no control?

The immediate superior has the power to determine the minions' paycheck via bad performance reviews and so on. If any "taxpayer" knows how to control or even take away the immediate superior's paycheck, I'm all ears.

Yes!, but who is the "king"?? we pay to get "farked"...that is the truth!

It doesn't matter who is the "king".

Anyone missed out the Australian military sex abuse and cover up news articles? If it's anything to go by, institutions such as militaries and churches attract psychotic people into the jobs. They actively seek out these jobs which allow them to abuse others.

A customer is helping to fund a shop staff's paycheck. Many people will agree.

As the customer has neither control nor influence over the staff's paycheck, that means that the staff is under no obligation to treat the customer well.

However, if the customer also happens to sit on the company's Board of Directors, that is a totally different story. The element of control and influence over the paycheck is crucial. The mere fact that the customer is funding the staff's paycheck means nothing.

You may very well be funding Mindef and SAF paychecks. But the control and influence does not exist.

Remember this: What is the Matrix? Control.

Is it possible to ask for fall out from PTI anytime you feel you're not feeling well? If you collapsed, there's no need to report sick as you'll be stretchered to the medical centre.

No wonder during the recent RT sessions, the PTIs kept asking if anyone does not feel well and to fall out if one is not feeling well. One of the PTI even tell us that our lives are more important :D

This piece of rough paper is what Mr Yang needed.

annual $1500 tax break is privilege , not entitlement... its give them leeway to revoke if you play punk

Bro, thanks for bringing this up. Always remember the phrase "Long weekend is a priviledge and not entitlement." Me always keng how to get long weekends.

Anyway, the SGD1500 tax break no longer applicable to me cos' no longer paying taxes. Not even GST. :p

That MO should be charged for endangering the lives of NSman. A mandatory 5-year jail and fine of $100,000 is necessary to set the correct example.

Please include 24 strokes on his ka chng.

24 stroke is really too much, just use two metal file clips on his "bolas" and make him walk 2.4KM, to really understand the sufferings of a sick patients & his duty as a doctor is to save lives, not contribute to their deaths.
