It's the practicality of the society. Slovenia may have qualified for the WC but their younger population is not as literate or educated as their counterparts in Singapore. Besides, for Slovenians, this is one of their way out of poverty. Be a real big superstar and then bank in the millions and rake in the money!
Red herring. I was addressing the fallacy that the reason why Sinkieland can't succeed in football is due to population size. Switzerland, with only 2.7 million more people than Sinkieland, could manage to enter the World Cup while having an economy much much stronger than that of Sinkieland. You talk about practicality. Tell me how practical it is for Sinkie sheep to spend their whole lives earning a paltry sum as a slave for MNCs when Swiss footballers are earning millions. Much of Sinkieland's human resources are underutilized. You've only a bunch of drones and yes-men. No diversification at all. So much for the fabled Singaporean efficiency.
