For a place like this, more discussion is always good even if it has the slimmest chance of making it a freer and more democratic society .
However I find that its not possible to be non partisan. Everyone's view is coloured by his race, religion, education and esp his political outlook. A better label will be transparent-you declare your religion and political outlook/affiliation so be we know your views are from that perspective. .
As for evidence-based, this will be a big hindrance as its very difficult to get data from them and even if you can , they will interprete it in their own way. .
Example
1. the race of Halimah-based on what evidence is she declared a Malay and is the FOSG willing to challenge that. Even the evidence that a person is qualified to be PE is decided by them.
2. appointment to key positions like GIC, Temasek, SMRT, -what evidence are there that they are the best candidates?
3.foreign talent-what evidence are there that Pinoy, PRC's and Indian Nationals are the best for our country?
You can discuss only based on evidence but when you ask them for the same, they attack you and even threaten that's is libellous and will sue you.
Remember Galileo who said the planets revolved around the sun but they said its not?
At the end of the day, it will be no different from coffee shop talk or old class/school gathering if it does not translate into votes that can change the policies that affect our future. We should concentrate our limited resources to stop the moving/shifting goalpost first .Otherwise its 4 legs good, 2 legs bad and then suka suka 2 legs better.
