No 100 bus driver heart attack, hit taxis in Commonwealth

I hope we will grow to be more concerned for our bus drivers and give them better working conditions. This also applies to all sectors of our working population. Some workers are doing a three people work or even four people work! It's madness! Greater productivity has in fact produced more mental breakdowns. Wards in IMH are FULL.

There is a lack of power for the unions. In countries whereby the unions are strong, employees are often protected. The government here also did little to protect the interest of employees. Somehow, I feel that Singapore is a pro business owner country. You are right about the part whereby more and more people are going crazy. I read in the news a few days ago that there is an increase in mental sickness among the young people in Singapore.

SINGAPORE: An SBS Transit bus hit two taxis at a cab stand in Commonwealth Avenue, near Commonwealth MRT Station on Thursday morning.

The driver of Service 100, who's in his 60s, was sent to the National University Hospital for suspected cardiac arrest.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted about the accident at 10:50am.

SBS Transit said in a statement that no one else was injured.

It said its top priority is to ensure the well-being of the bus captain, affected passengers and road users.

good morning ms kinana. i now realised that you are a lady. am i right? thanks for your post...but why are so many forummers hunting you dear?

A bus driver's job is more stressful than that of a politician. In the case of the latter, yet to come across such a case when parliament is in session. No wonder a certain 90 yr old still clinging on to a stress free job.
