FYI, stirring this pot takes hours and continuous stirring must be done to prevent it from burning. It take a lot of effort physically to do this.

Stop being so cynical. The good grassroots adviser Amrin has done a lot of good work for the residents. Thanks to him stirring the pot, lots of people will be well fed.

All PAP grassroots adviser, including Amrin, help out every week. It's a higher calling for PAP cadres because they are expected to serve as Grassroots Advisers regardless whether they win or lose the elections. They don't get the oppie luxury of disappearing after elections and only appearing during the election season.
