If every new citizen allowed to vote , then it is unfair to the local ones !

These aliens should only be allowed to vote after 5 years of citizenship ! fair right !

New citizens who just get their citizenship sure vote for PAP no matter what, becos the PAP MPs are the ones giving up the citizenship to them and pledge to be loyal ! The motive looks very clear , like crystal !

Any one would tell you When newly naturalized sinkaporeans are allowed to vote, then the campaign is obvious , PAP wants to stay in power using the FT policy as a red herring !

Many people say PAP keeps hoodwinking the local sporns low birth rate, local going extinct in years to cum ……just like hang goat head sell dog meat !

That means if this year got 20k new citizens, next year got elections, PAP wins 20k votes oredi, very easy right.!

So is this a cheating game of PAP is playing ?
Like that, forever, PAP will stay in power without true mandate right ! Becos new citizens being new sure have hobson choice right, this is natural, economic refugees sure stick to the new host right !

Totally disagree.

Once you are Singapore citizen you should be the same as all citizens. we can delay the process of granting citizenship, we can reward the Singaporeans that did NS (I think this is very important). But once a citizen = 1 man 1 vote.

Many of these new citizens are a lot more opinionated than locals and knife could cut both ways.

I heard that LKY gave up on that idea after some scholar studies showed that educated people getting 2- or 3-vote counts each would be more likely to vote against PAP, leaving peasants with 1-vote count each voting for PAP.
